Superstar 30.03.17

Our superstar this week is such a kind, polite and lovely little girl. She is trying so hard in all subjects and it is showing in her independent work. She always uses her initiative in the classroom and is always willing to help and do jobs. She is so helpful in every way and we love having her in our class. She is a true star! 

Superstar 23.03.17

Our superstar this week has been such a good boy! His smile is so infectious and makes everyone feel happy. He is trying so hard in all areas of the curriculum and his hand is up all the time answering questions. He has turned over a new leaf and is sitting so beautifully on the carpet. We are so proud of him. 

 

Superstar 16.03.17

Our superstar this week is such a maths whizz. He is trying so hard answering questions on the carpet that are very tricky and he gets them all correct. His confidence has come on massively and this is really showing in his work. He is a lovely little boy who tries his best in all areas of the curriculum. He is a pleasure to teach and a lovely member of our class. 

 

Book day

The children looked absolutely wonderful in their costumes for book day. It was so lovely to see them dressed up as their favourite character.

 

Superstar 09.03.17

Our superstar this week is such a wonderful friend. She has helped her partner learn their lines for our class assembly which is so kind. She is really progressing with her reading and this is showing in her comprehension skills. She has also grown so much in confidence with her maths and is so keen to get it right. 

 

Paired reading

We have had a wonderful afternoon with year 5. Every other week we meet up with class 5C and read with our partners. The children love sharing their favourite books. 

Google expedition visit 24.02.17

On Friday last week Google Expeditions came to our school to show us how can use this fantastic app to explore different parts of the world. We used the hand held devices to show real aerial photographs of Antarctica. We were able to move with device and zoom in and out. The children absolutely loved it . 

Superstar 02.03.17

Our superstar this week is such a good independent learner with fantastic listening skills. She always listens to everything we say on the carpet and therefore knows exactly what she is doing at her table and what to do next when she finishes her work. She is such a lovely kind member of our class and always has impeccable manners. She is progressing so well in year 1 and we hope she keeps it up.
